Country Day School is a unique educational opportunity
for students kindergarten through fifth grade.
Country Day School is a unique educational opportunity for students kindergarten through fifth grade. The state approved school was founded in 1981 with the philosophy that early experiences in a child’s education will influence lifelong learning. Classrooms are vibrant, inviting areas that inspire children’s curiosity and creativity while providing the structure needed for independence, critical thinking and academic success.
Each child is a member of a small classroom community working in a challenging core-curriculum crafted to promote individual success, by aligning academic goals with children’s abilities, interests, learning styles and strengths. Cooperative learning groups, hands on projects and community service opportunities enhance the student learning experience and provide a forum for leadership and social-emotional growth.
Country Day School also provides the opportunity for additional assistance through an academic support program. Children work one-on-one with a teacher three times per week on material to enrich their learning or provide them with additional instruction and practice. In addition to regular classroom instruction, children receive foreign language, art, physical education, music and technology lab enrichment.
Before and after school care is also provided.
